经典教材，我们系研究生和小本的动力课都是用的这本书，有几个知识点讲得很好，比如thermal wind, Ertel's PV, Eady stability problem。而且，书后有练习题答案！网上更能搜到详细的解题答案！书后有一张CD，但自从买了就没打开过所以并不知道里面是什么内容，囧。总体感觉一般，除了上课讲的几章以外其他并不实用。

美国很流行的本科大气动力学教材，不过就像周围一个phd说的，这本书的前两章缺少相关的物理图像的刻画。此外国内的书很多都照抄这本
