著者簡介

薩馬拉，為活躍於美國紐約的平麵設計師。他藉助STIM視覺傳播公司（STIM Visual Communication），忙碌於授課、寫作、谘詢和開講座等事務。15年的品牌設計與信息設計，使他經受到印刷設計、包裝設計、環境設計、用戶界麵設計、動畫設計等多種項目的熏陶。薩馬拉先生目前是紐約大學視覺藝術學院、紐約州立大學伯斯學院和帕森設計學院的教師。他撰寫瞭《平麵設計網格的製作與突破》、《印刷工作手冊》、《齣版物設計完全手冊》和《字體風格搜索手冊》等著作。

當時自己讀的英文原版，是一本非常好的平麵設計入門書籍。與《給大傢看的設計書》不同，更多麵嚮非平麵設計從業者的設計師。從講述設計原則到最後打破設計原則，書中的案例精彩地展現瞭平麵設計中的方法、道理。

讲述平面设计原则的书。整体看上去装帧也算不错。价钱不算便宜￥89.00（不过想想这么厚一本铜版纸的，忍了）。打开看就不是那么回事了。印之前看没看打样吧？字儿是不是细了点？妨碍阅读啊。首印这4000册卖完了赶紧改版吧。

我觉得老外写的书就是要比国内一些骗钱的书好的多即使是相当于我们的教科书。这本书总是结合实例像我们阐述道理很实用很可读
