約翰．康納利（John Connolly）

西元1968年生於愛爾蘭都柏林，經歷豐富，曾擔任過記者、酒保、服務生、倫敦哈洛德百貨公司的雜工、地方公務員等等。他曾於愛爾蘭三一學院修習英語，並於都柏林市立大學主修新聞學，之後五年在愛爾蘭時報（The Irish Times）擔任自由記者。

1999年，康納利以《奪命旅人》齣道。這本驚悚小說以追查殺死妻女真凶的退休警探帕剋為主角，創下瞭英美版權史上第二高價的新人預付版稅紀錄，令康納利成為夏姆斯獎（Shamus Award）。首位非美籍得獎者，並奠定其「愛爾蘭驚悚大師」之地位。2003年，以The White Road獲得英國最佳犯罪小說獎的Barry Award。
