Defining color is a simple matter-visible light of a particular wavelength. Or is it? It turns out that the pigments and dyes responsible for hues have many remarkable characteristics, most of which we rarely ponder. 在豆瓣的看到这本书的介绍时就被吸引了，看书的时候觉得只是黑白的文字对各种颜色没有一个直观的了解，就坐在电脑旁边用google的图片搜索工具对书里面各种有趣的颜色，植物，石头一个一个地查，花了一天的时候，终于看完了，五颜六色的一天！

极其好看耐读的书～绝非拘泥于画布...很博物...写得很认真诚恳却没有书呆子气味...天南海北地聊... 作者本行是记者..借着写书的机会世界各地到处乱窜...有温暖闲适的海岸也有阿富汗...却不会像国内的某些矫情家伙去次阿富汗就挺臭屁的顶个“战地玫瑰”的幌子到处招摇......

看Lautrec受到一点启发..需要增加点具体的知识。这本书里各种边角料知识...比如茜素是媒介染料可以用来做橙色..作者可以说非常尽力了..简直是exhaustive research典范..各种信息驱动着飞速旋转确实有点乱了阵脚。排列呈现方式有点混乱..缺个main thread.大部分我都记住了所以阅读体验还是满意的。我想了半天我可能会换个方式吧。
