从海洋的诞生，到海中的生物，到海底的未知，精炼的文字背后是科学家和探险者们孜孜不倦的探索。全书字里行间散发着卡森对自然的热爱。散文般优雅的句式，读起来太愉悦了，即使端着字典不停翻查专有名词也抵挡不住接着读下去的渴望。ps再一次感叹于1950年代欧美国家用有限的科技手段获取的对海洋知识的充分理解，现在读起来也一点都不觉过时。
