Hewlett is the animator (and co-conspirator) for the band Gorillaz. He is the artist behind Murdoc, 2D, Russel, and Noodle- the fictional members of the group actually led by Damon Albarn of Blur. It is unclear if Hewlett worked with Gorillaz on the actual music, but he did direct the Gorillaz hit video "Clint Eastwood".
