看完以後我其實最欣賞的反而是作者的母親，生活的藝術傢！這本書讓我多少看到瞭風雨哈佛路的感覺，長大以後一直在盲目的追尋，最後作者找到瞭自己想要的，那纔是作者該有的生活。我們也在不停地追，有多少人知道自己真正想要的是什麼？這本書的電影個人感覺沒有什麼看頭。

當生存的本能壓倒瞭一切，作者和她的兄弟姐妹終於打破瞭重蹈原生傢庭覆轍的死循環(例如他們的父母一生都在沉溺在自己的世界中躲避現實與傢庭的陰影抗爭)，尋找到瞭自己希望的生活。作者的描述扣人心弦，她的成長與她世界觀的塑造在細膩中皆有跡可尋，很難不自我代入。印象最深刻的是她與纔華橫溢卻墮落的酒鬼父親愛恨交織的關係，從童年的純真快樂到後來的在現實麵前忍無可忍的憤怒融化成最後久久迴蕩的傷感，真是哭得我停不下來。我可以理解母親的無奈和逃避現實，但對她的不負責任忍無可忍。母親說Maureen漂亮，Lori聰明，Brian勇敢，而Jeannette隻是努力而已，不，我覺得作者本人是tough，她永遠是傢裏那個最勇於與現實抗爭、永不屈服的人。
