评分寫得真紮實……然而讀完基本就對英國文化研究失去興趣瞭，比我想象的還要無趣一點。這本書也可以解釋二十世紀英國學界的一些特點，比如對英國本土性的堅守、強硬的經驗主義立場、文化同政黨政治的閤流、對大陸理論的疏遠等等。阿諾德的精英主義式“文化”概念一旦得到移植和泛化，就讓文化變成瞭收納各種方法流派的大雜燴，最終造成如今文化研究領域社會學（民族誌）、文本分析（編碼-解碼）、傳媒學（接受方法）三分天下的狀態。
