著者简介

帕普里斯教授1921年出生于希腊，分别从雅典国家技术大学和美国宾夕法尼亚大学获得电子工程和数学学位。他1952年到纽约布鲁克林工业大学开始任教，1994退休，2002年4月25日在美国长岛亨廷顿去世，享年81岁。

帕普里斯教授一声撰写了150余篇学术文章和9本学术专著，本书第一版1965年出版，很快成为该领域的经典教材，第四版2001年12月问世。帕普里斯获得了众多荣誉，其中包括国际电器电子工程师协会(IEEE)颁发的杰出教育贡献金质奖章以及德国Humbolt科研奖和三个欧洲大学的荣誉学位。

对于教材，如果刚买了第N版还没来得及看完就得知作者已经出了第N+1版，不免有些遗憾，更要犹豫到底还追不追新了。不过对于这本书，大可以打消上述顾虑，作者用生命向我们保证，他不会再出第5版了。

书读到后半部分了，读过的部分习题基本都做了。 从内容来说，尤其是随机过程的后半部分很适合电子信息工程专业的应用范畴，内容上与时俱进。对比其他的随机过程的确的不同之处。 从写法来说，将不使用测度论的概率论讲法讲到了极致，内容上是比较完整的。 数学上推导是严谨的，...

这本书内容编排分为两个部分，第一部分是概率论的相关内容，第二部分是随机过程的相关内容。如果只想买一本一个学期课程用的随机过程教材，这本书可能不是一个最优选择。但如果是一个学年的课程推荐此书 讲述风格是老教授非常严谨的那范儿的，内容比较数学化。个人觉得风格上...
