安东尼•吉登斯（Anthony Giddens，1938- ），当代著名社会学家和政治思想家，政体出版社（Polity Press）的创立者之一，曾任英国剑桥大学社会学教授及伦敦经济政治学院院长。吉登斯无疑是当今世界最重要的思想家之一，被誉为英国前首相布莱尔的“精神导师”。他把有关"现代性"、"全球化"等问题的研究推到了全球学术研究的前沿，他和布莱尔提出的"第三条道路"则深刻影响了20世纪末叶全球政治发展的方向。
