很久没有看过这么差的书，从第一章看到第二章，不知作者在写什么，情节之松散，匪夷所思。 于是为了不再虐待自己的大脑，就果断地放弃了。 同样是写火星故事，我觉得火星编年史就好多了，至少写出梦幻的味道。为什么同样是星云奖获奖作品，有人就会这么差，简直不是...  

第一部里面有很多元素在后两部是没有的，比如很纯的地球人思维、政治谋杀，还有最为悲壮的摧毁太空梯和弗伯斯的自毁。 雄壮的火星土表的笔墨描绘很有画面感，第二部中也有不少类似描绘。 关于人物，死去的3个领袖级登陆白首分别有点像学者、牛仔、战士，联系的后两部，这三人...  

如果没有做好心理准备，而是寻求某种刺激，那么这书不推荐去读。 毕竟很莫名其妙的情节，完全不了解的故事背景，让人读起来很费解。 而真正的科幻大师，不会沉迷恋于刻画一个小装置，摆弄小玩意儿。作者罗宾逊更多的是幻想了一个未来的社会，一个人与人冲突的社会。未来是什么...

一部非常精彩的火星殖民史诗之第一卷

无论是科技部分还是政治斗争都写得好真实，趣味略欠缺，深度是足够的。而且致敬AC Clarke情感分。

从科技、格局和政治综合看，这绝对是最硬的科幻，充满了在严谨的计算基础上展开的火星畅想。但KSR在一次采访也谈到，因为当时科学发现的局限，有些地方他写得不符合现在我们对火星的了解(生命的存在是可能的；没有足够的氮气；地表覆盖着有害物质过氯酸盐)，影响了他描述的火星环境改造计划。

简直可以看成是未来移民火星的史诗级教科书，也可以说是一本关于乌托邦的寓言。作者驾驭大空间跨度和地域跨度的技巧让人惊叹。有时候读起来会觉得有些疲惫，不过一旦进入那个红色火星世界就迫不及待的想知道后面的故事。
