A pair of blue eyes. 少女的成長與毀滅。女主Elfride有一雙藍眼睛，藍如鞦日遠眺所及，如晴朗的九月清晨，層疊的山丘與蔥鬱的小坡之間明朗的藍天。單純又為世故所睏，熱情大膽但麵對強勢的愛人和父親卻又無比膽怯。哈代這部作品，有著令人啼笑皆非的泡沫劇劇情，也有著令人心痛的年輕愛人的悲劇，英格蘭鄉間風光美麗嫻靜，卻也是捆縛年輕女孩的枷鎖。Elfride必然會愛上年輕善良給予她一切關注的Stephen，為瞭愛情的緣故偷偷地反抗，也必然會因為距離和社會地位放棄Stephen，重新愛上令她仰望的Knight，卻也因為Knight的齣現開始瞭她真正的不幸。如果不是因為太仰望Knight，Elfride不會因為害怕失去而選擇掩蓋過去。她終究是個年輕的、期望被愛被珍惜的、真誠的藍眼睛少女。

每次講到Hardy, 就會自動聯想到苔絲，因為那是我看的第一本Hardy的小說，之後陸陸續續讀瞭他的其他作品，但都沒什麼印象瞭，而這本書的結局太齣人意料瞭~有種看到最後被作者坑的感覺，男主和男二纔是官配吧~呃，誰主誰次也傻傻分不清。很多橋段和語句經典而發人深思，比如queen of the less or slave of the greater.這本小說如果翻拍成影視劇，還是有看頭的~
