拜雅特（A.S.Byatt），英国当代著名作家，1936年8月24日出生于英国谢菲尔德，1957年在剑桥大学获学士学位，经过两年研究生生活后，在伦敦大学教授英美文学。1983年，拜雅特辞去高级教师职位，专心致力于文学创作，同年成为英国皇家文学协会会员、1990年获颁大英帝国司令勋童（CBE）。

评分这本书读得极慢，并且一边遗憾没有一本注释本。 记得刚读《我的名字叫红》的时候，仗着自己曾认识几个阿拉伯人，又图便宜，买了简本。直到为了参加作者的签名售书，才又买了一本彩图注释本。两下对比，才发现，除去故事情节之外，书中有多少文化的细节根本没有搞清楚。...

评分別理會中譯本的種種炒作。這樣精雅的英文，應該讀原作。
评分没找到我看的版本。。不过我看的也是暗红的封面。。。。
评分不是这个封面的另一版本。当时断断续续的花了很长时间来读它，读到后面才愈发欲罢不能。
评分Byatt小說真讓我受不了。我很努力去讀她的作品，但實在五行不合，沒有讀小說的愉快，感覺在讀教科書般難熬和分神。I have tried but I gave up啦。
