支线太多，但是都紧扣一个主题词——时间，而内核都是“人性”。里面的时间切割/凝固/位移、多维空间、平行宇宙等各种设定都与现实人们对宇宙/物种猜想紧密相关。有点意思。年轻人的爱情线是点睛之笔，篇幅很少，在毫不偏离主题的情况下丰富了文本内容。不论是什么物种，是不是时间以内的存在形态，只要沾染了人性，就会开始体会爱，人性与爱不可分割（虽然有些美化了人性，依旧是动人的）。文末的牛轧糖简直浪漫透了，也许我也不知道这是喜欢或爱，但是牛轧糖的愉快时光足够刻印成蔓延一生的回忆了。（啊，是真的太浪漫了，特里老头从这个系列开始慢慢懂如何去写不只是由性欲引起的“喜爱”了

这本吹爆好想翻译！碟形世界版末世故事，天启四骑士（五骑士？）登场，时间和尚出镜，the auditors回归，死神阔爱，苏珊姐姐性格也没那么讨厌了（死神前几本我一直不喜欢她）。。竟然真的有好看的死神系列故事啊。。苏珊姐姐和Time能生出来一个什么杂交品种好想知道。。
