A man returns to the town where a baffling murder took place 27 years earlier, determined to get to the bottom of the story. were it not for my expired visa, I would have read this on a Caribbean cruise and walked down the alley where Santiago confronted his fateful death. for all the presumed innocence that caused the inadvertently staged murder and for all the imaginary honor that eventually faded away like a misty drizzle, poor soul, thy death got everyone better off!
