写的很真实，很不错。细索的小细节，一件一件小事构成了生活的全部。教授上课说：It's easy to be a hero, because it is always a hero of sometime. It is much harder to be a decent person all the time.

我下学期还选了post-colonialism theory的课程啊。。。希望Kipling能够让我好过一点。故事情节都还挺引人入胜的，但还是不习惯Indian English fiction的风格，读起来有困难。刚看了有读过的人说西方高评价是因为cultural displacement，这一点非常赞同。This book tortures me!
