The story of Robert Jordan, a young American in the International Brigades attached to an antifascist guerilla unit in the mountains of Spain, it tells of loyalty and courage, love and defeat, and the tragic death of an ideal. for whom the bell tolls? for whom u fight for? the differences between most Republican and Fascist soldiers is the instruction forced on them. Under the uniform, they are all ordinary Spanish people with similar emthusiam for bull fighting and homesick. As for the leaders, power and extravagance are forever center. War is evil!
