大卫·盖梅尔是英国家喻户晓的英雄奇幻小说家，已于2006年过世。他逝世后，奇幻界成立了大卫·盖梅尔传奇奖，该奖目前已成为奇幻界重要的奖项。

人物、对白、叙事技巧都有一套，体现了作者的成熟过人。结尾见仁见智。热血的东西，心中领会就好了，没必要反复激荡。
