2016 没咋看懂。

女主角并不把自己写得可爱值得同情，故事一点不鸡汤励志，不错

感恩audio book的2倍速强行加快我的眼动速度，得以第一次一天刷完了一本书...很美很subjective，只是告诉你“我”在每个人生阶段是怎么想的，是鸡汤还是毒鸡汤，留给读者自己去熬。她的很多想法counter-intuitive但是在细致的reasoning下变得无比合理，一方面让我理解了很多people with facial disfigurement的感觉，另一方面竟通过她的讲解理解了一部分自卑的自己。但最终该作者还是死于drug overdose。确实，不是每一次自我救赎都会成功，不是每一个人都活到了完全自洽，不是每一份感情都能真正感同身受——也许是悲，又值得庆幸？after all, it is uniqueness that proves our worth...？

我很喜欢作者用这种平实但是又完全自私的笔调来描写自己承受的苦难。鸡汤本来就是一个笑话，并不是所有的自我救赎都会成功，即便很多看起来如此。有时候甚至觉得，在苦难面前失败才是终点，所谓的成功自我救赎无非就是坠落得更优雅一些罢了。
