A comforting story about one brave little girl. ""Vera was sick." "She had spots all over her body, even between her toes and inside her ears. The doctor said she must stay in bed."" Vera is sick. Mother puts her in the spare room and rubs lotion on all her spots. She brings in Vera's favorite pillow and tells her to try and sleep. But the sickroom is lonely and kind of scary.
