看了不到二十页，发现一个典型的翻译错误，可能译者是理工出身，不太了解社科和人文，第五页，达尔文的表兄，Francis Galton，心理学界基本翻译成弗朗西斯·高尔顿，这个翻译错误可以理解。

前半部分还行, 理解起来尚可, 后半部分难以理解, 可能是因为统计学本身, 也可能是因为译者翻译水平. 大部分句子都是直译的, 太少考虑中国人的阅读感受, 还有专有名词写错的......比如累积频数, 应该是cumulative frequency. 此书暂且至此, 算是为大学统计学学完之后在工作中又...

翻译烂到无法忍受。本来作为入门书籍，特别是对于没有系统上过相关课程的初学者而言，本书对基本概念的讲解还是很清晰易懂的，但是翻译彻底毁了它。当然，部分文字责任包括丢字、错字应该由编辑负责任。
